What it does

How I built it## Inspiration

People are naturally curious about their own face shape and symmetry, but honest, judgment-free feedback is hard to find. We wanted a tool that gives useful, easy-to-understand insights from a single photo without pretending to be a medical or scientific measurement.

What it does

iLook AI Face Analysis gives users face-shape insights, facial symmetry scoring, and Golden Ratio-based feedback from an uploaded photo. Results are presented as approachable, friendly feedback rather than clinical data, and every result is clearly labeled as subjective and photo-specific.

How we built it

iLook combines computer vision and AI models to estimate facial proportions and structure, then translates that into readable feedback. It is available as a web app and an Android app, and developers can integrate the same analysis via a REST API, an MCP server, and A2A (agent-to-agent) interfaces.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing playful, engaging feedback with responsible framing was the biggest challenge — we wanted the tool to be fun without overstating what AI face analysis can actually tell you about a person.

What we learned

Users care more about clear, honest framing than about clinical-sounding precision. Simple, well-labeled feedback builds more trust than jargon.

What's next for iLook AI Face Analysis

We're continuing to refine the underlying models and expand the developer-facing interfaces (REST API, MCP, A2A) so more agents and apps can integrate face analysis responsibly.
