ILMI BAGHEECHA is inspired by Master Ayub's voluntary education model.

We aim to build on this model, improve it and extend it to a larger audience. We want other volunteers like master Ayub to join this platform and provided education to out-of-school children.

We have developed a mobile based platform to help volunteers explore areas where they can contribute. The areas include provisioning of teaching location, time (skills), items and financial contribution.

One of the biggest challenge that we experienced was to locate and create awareness for both the volunteers and children within every 5 km radius. Almost all the datasets that we found were actually based on the district level.

We learned about 17 SDG goals and Ignite is targeting eight of them. We targeted one of them and that is, quality education. Because of that we learned that 22 million children in Pakistan are out-of-school and we want to help them.

Our vision is, our children after learning from this platform will find themselves contributing in a future ready state. Right now, team Markhorist is targeting twin cities i.e Islamabad and Rawalpindi. We plan to extend the coverage of our platform to other cities.

Illmi bagheecha will also engage with Donars who want to show their support for the cause by donating books, stationary and clothes. We will collect data from schools related to their dropouts and link them with volunteer teachers. HEC Volunteers in Service (VIS) can be a primary source for our volunteers program helps you to gain awareness of social responsibility and lifelong obligations to civic engagement.
