Inspiration
I created this app out of sheer necessity. Constantly hunting for RGB values or the perfect color palettes was a time-consuming chore I couldn't bear any longer. This app was my solution to that pain point.
What it does
The Color Palette Generator does more than just simplify the color selection process. It's a tool that offers color palette suggestions and also, when available, provides the color's name, RGB value, and CMYK value. It streamlines the creative process, making life easier for designers and artists.
How we built it
My endeavor was made possible through Illa Cloud, a no/low-code platform that empowers developers to create apps and AI agents, thanks to its intuitive drag-and-drop interface. With Illa Cloud, I could bring my vision to life without diving deep into the complexities of traditional coding.
Challenges we ran into
One persistent challenge was that the model occasionally produced a cluttered output, with all the information crammed into a single line. Moreover, it didn't always have the desired color conversions readily available. This compelled me to do extensive keyword research and engineer a quality prompt to ensure that the app consistently delivered accurate and well-organized results.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
While the Color Palette Generator may be a small tool in the grand scheme of things, I take immense pride in its utility. Its simplicity and effectiveness are what make it truly remarkable. It may not be the most extensive app, but it serves a real purpose, and that's something I hold in high regard.
What we learned
This journey taught me the valuable lesson of the potential inherent in no/low-code development. It's a revelation that even small-scale apps can find their place and bring value to people's lives.
What's next for [IllaCloud] Create Color Palette Generator
As a contribution to Illa Cloud, this particular project may not see any further development. Nevertheless, I'm immensely proud of what I've achieved with it.
