Inspiration
Mrs. Adebisi (an alias) She was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to undergo a surgery. But after the surgery the cancer did not stop metastasizing and she had to continue chemotherapy. On one of her visits to LASUTH for her routine chemotherapy, there was no bed space for her to get the chemotherapy, because of my influence as a Nurse I tried to patronize the ward managers to get her a space and after a long struggle we got a bed space for that service, but before then remember when we sat on the floor together with little or no hope of getting the chemotherapy that day, and she said to me, PAUL, I AM IN PAINS……. What’s most striking about this story is that she does not need to be in the hospital to get this care, all she needed was a Nurse that can provide this care even in her home……
What it does
Our product will connect Nurses and doctors to patients that needs remote monitoring, and other health care services
How we built it
Challenges we ran into
Our first challenge was getting product designers and developers, also we cost of building an MVP
Accomplishments that we're proud of
To have built an MVP, and we have been able to conduct a market research and have interviewed over 20health care workers. We have also started building partnership with health institutions, we have started an official incorporation with CAC in Nigeria which will be completed in 2weeks
What we learned
That starting a start up is not easy, and you need to have started and have a good mastery ogmf your product before any other person will invest in it. In other words you must have made your own secrifices and invested so much in your product before another person will do the same, and that's what we are doing at ikarely health
What's next for ikarely Health
We plan on launching for beta testing with family and friends in the first week of April, for the rest of March we will continue to build our product and work to build partnership with health institutions and health management organizations
