Who is the target user?

People who care about their friends and family but struggle to keep up with them: busy students, working professionals, and especially international students and immigrants whose loved ones live in other cities, countries, or time zones. If you've ever forgotten to ask "How did it go?" after someone told you about a big moment, iKare is for you.

WHY

We all forget to text back the people we love, especially when they're miles away and hours apart. When my sister told me about her dance rehearsal, I wished her luck, then work took over my day. By the time I remembered to ask how it went, she was asleep halfway across the world, and the moment had passed.

What if every morning, you got a simple check-in in from of reminders and notifications: "You haven't asked your sister how her dance rehearsal went," with a message already drafted? It quietly remembers the moments from your chats and plans your check-ins for you, so you never miss a chance to show up for the people you love.

What it does

iKare connects to your WhatsApp, reads your conversations, and makes sure you never miss a chance to show up for the people you love. You link it once, and from then on it quietly keeps track of what's happening in your loved ones' lives, so you don't have to.

1. Link your WhatsApp in seconds

Open Connect in iKare and scan the QR code with WhatsApp → Linked devices, just like WhatsApp Web. That's it.

  • One-time setup: Your login is saved, so you only scan once.
  • Always listening: iKare reads your most recent chats right away, then keeps watching for new messages as they come in.
  • Self-healing connection: If the session goes stale, like after your laptop sleeps, iKare notices and reconnects on its own.

2. It reads your recent chats and finds what matters

Once linked, iKare goes through your recent conversations and picks out the moments worth following up on, automatically:

  • "My interview is Monday" → a reminder to ask how it went
  • "Doctor appointment on Thursday" → a check-in after the visit
  • "I've been feeling really sick" → a "feeling better?" message a couple of days later
  • "We're moving this weekend!" → a follow-up once they've settled in
  • "Did you ever hear back about the job?" → flagged as a reply you owe

It ignores small talk and logistics like "see you at dinner," understands phrases like "next week" and turns them into real dates, and works in any language. New messages are processed as they arrive, so your reminders stay up to date without you lifting a finger.

3. Your Today feed

Everything iKare finds turns into cards on your Today page, like "Ask Priya how the job interview went." Each card shows:

  • A warm message already drafted, in your friend's own language
  • The person's local time, so you know if they're awake
  • Buttons to approve and send, snooze, mark done, or dismiss

Two more sections come straight from your chats:

  • Replies owed: Questions you left unanswered, with a drafted reply that has blanks for the parts only you know. Once you reply on WhatsApp, iKare sees it and clears the card on its own.
  • Reconnect: People you haven't talked to in a while, with a friendly hello ready to send.

4. Approve once, and iKare sends it from your WhatsApp

Edit the drafted message so it sounds like you, then approve it. iKare sends it from your own WhatsApp, so it arrives like any normal message from you.

  • Time-zone smart: If it's night where your friend is, iKare holds the message and sends it in their morning.
  • One at a time: Every message needs your approval. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
  • Only people you know: iKare only messages people you already talk to. No bulk messages, no strangers.

5. Other ways to add moments

Not everything happens on WhatsApp, so you can also:

  • Upload a chat screenshot from any app (iMessage, Instagram, and more)
  • Import a WhatsApp chat export (.txt)
  • Type a quick note for things people tell you in person or on a call

6. Keep track of your people

The People page shows everyone you care about, with favorites, time zones and a world clock, contact reminders, and a "showed up" count for each person.

Private and in your control

  • WhatsApp linking runs only on your own computer
  • Your data stays on your machine unless you choose to add Supabase
  • A passcode lock protects the app
  • Browser notifications and app install (PWA) keep iKare one tap away

AI is a bridge, not a replacement. iKare helps you be there for the people you love.
