What I Learned

Through this project, I learned how AI can amplify human imagination rather than replace it. It helped me understand the balance between technology and storytelling — between precision and emotion.

How I Built It

Script: Referring to some well-known IPs and the visuals and captivating elements of supernatural reality movies, I then adapted them into my own imagined story., inspired by my lifelong fascination with invention and childhood imagination.

Concept & Direction: Focused on a young boy designing his own powered armor — a metaphor for self-belief and innovation.

Visuals: Generated with Midjourney, Hailuo, Runway, and Kling AI for cinematic consistency and mechanical realism.

Editing & Sound: Finalized in Premiere Pro and After Effects with original AI-generated soundtrack from Suno.

Challenges Faced

The greatest challenge was communicating each storyboard idea with Midjourney and making the generated scenes look coherent and visually striking. I studied numerous military references and films about advanced machinery. For weeks, many outputs failed — especially the moments showing the boy wearing partial armor or interacting with the holographic design table. Often, AI would add a random robot beside him, distort the character’s face, or break the intended lighting and atmosphere. But after countless refinements, the final visuals matched my vision perfectly — and I was deeply satisfied.

Writing the script was the easiest part, as storytelling has always come naturally to me. Once I overcame the visual and technical barriers, the editing and scoring process felt like passing through a singularity — everything flowed effortlessly. The whole journey was exhilarating, as if I had learned to fly myself.
