Remote learning has made it more difficult for students to focus on their work. We have experienced this first-hand through high levels of procrastination and want to help others not experience the same issues.
What it does
The app allows the user to add tasks to guide them throughout the day and increase productivity. We used the ideas of the Pomodoro Technique to create a 25-minute timer, after which the user can take a 5-minute break. This technique increases productivity and keeps the user focused while making sure they do not get burned out.
How we built it
We used Swift to make all the UI and used Firebase integrated with Swift to create the login page.
Challenges we ran into
We were not very proficient in Swift going into the project, so we had to do a lot of learning on the way.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how the app looks and how well the Pomodoro Timer integrates with the app. This was our very first Hackathon, but we tried out hardest and we think we made something great
What we learned
We learned how to use many of Swift’s features and how to use Firebase.
What's next for Ignite
We want to create more customizability, especially the lengths of the breaks between each Pomodoro session.
