Agriculture sector continue to play a vital role in the rural economy despite being hardly affected by COVID19 in the distribution system.
Currently, it Contribute 20% of the gross domestic product (GDP) and another 27% of GDP indirect through linkages with other sectors. (www.fao.org/kenya-at-a-glance)
However, the Kenya agriculture sector is insufficient due to food wastage which is high due to insufficient handling practice. At the same time small - and medium size fruits, vegetables & livestock vendors often lack access to reliable supply of affordable & quality products.
It's due to this which inspire me to come up with this project aiming to connect farmer's in rural of Kilifi County with consumer's/vendor's in the urban centers of mombasa County.
So, have managed to register the company as Ifunda Investment ltd but still have a challenge to finance my idea to build an app and website.
