IFSI Vocab Game

Inspiration

Working with IFSI in the past, many of the kids could not grasp the more complex aspects of the English language and we wanted to help aid the process of learning that area of English

What it does

The game displays a random word in English and asks for the definition in return

How we built it

Using snap

Challenges we ran into

My partner was the only one familiar with programming and even at that using a simple program like SNAP challenged him. I, on the other hand, have never programmed or even taken a course with comp sci and programming, so going into the Hackathon we knew our 'final' product would probably not work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The overall planning stage went very smoothly as well as the early stages of development.

What we learned

We are not good at programming, but go to a product that neither of us would have expected to get to in the first place

What's next for IFSI Vocab Game

A lot of work and a deeper/elementary level understanding of SNAP from the 'programmers'
