iFeel and imHere

Inspiration

We were inspired by the idea of mental health and Independence in young children.

What it does

These apps allow for children to self report how they feel based on six different options and determine their current location, respectfully.

How we built it

We build these apps through android studio, utilizing Java and location APIs to make these two apps

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges trying to convert Kotlin files into Java as well as overall getting used to the Android Studio platform.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we stuck through the hackathon and we’re able to produce our first ever application for an android device. We are also proud that we have accomplished out first hackathon!

What we learned

We learned that patience is key when coding, and the time you put into whatever you do will be worth it in the end.

What's next for iFeel and imHere

We would like to integrate machine learning APIs to analyze trends within the iFeel app and the ability for the imHere app to interact with home technology devices in the future.
