If I Could Draw A Brand New Day

Inspiration

I have always been passionate about telling layered stories. I am from a small island, and it didn't feel possible until now to make all these ideas in my head tangible. This project was inspired by the countless souls past, present, and future who would spend their lives thinking of the could-have-beens that would never be. Imagining the lives they’d never live. I wrote my original song "If I Could Draw A Brand New Day" on my piano and guitar, pouring all my emotions into the melody and lyrics before using AI to help me produce it. The song is both their story and ours—a meditation on all the ordinary moments we take for granted because somewhere, someone is dreaming of living your ordinary day. I wanted to explore all the brilliant colors that exist within freedom, imagination, creating, loving, feeling and the full spectrum of what it means to be conscious feeling beings.

What it does

The story revolves around a young inmate wrongfully on death row. He loves to paint. It explores how art can be used to take people out of very dark places. I use a bluebird in the story as a metaphor for innocence.

How we built it

As a solo creator, I used a combination of different AI tools and editing software to create this in 1 week. First, I wrote the song and lyrics. Next was creating the story and visuals. Then I used Kling AI on the Freepik platform for all visuals and Eleven Labs for sounds and the character's voice.
