Inspiration

  • Everyone Deserves to be provided with proper healthcare across the planet
  • Only 43% of Canadians get same or next-day doctor appointment
  • Average registering-time of the patients in the hospital is 5.1 hour
  • There are many developing counties with lack of Proper Healthcare system

What it does

Our goal is to make healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone by making a platform which connects doctors, nurses, social worker, etc. to the people in need. This plan consist of making a cloud which can connect the patient to the care taker and then they can connect together using our platform. Moreover the module hardware which we built can perform many basic tests on the human and share the result on a safe environment to the doctors this plan can be done in the hospitals for registration , taking care of elderly , and more

How we built it

-The external module works with arduino, where it captures the basic information of the patient using different sensors. these data then transport over a cloud to the doctor's computer. -we developed a secure video call connection between the user and doctor. This provides the opportunity for social workers to use our platform as well

  • the data recorded will transfer live to the clinic where doctor is located and doctor can view the results and suggest the further orders

Challenges we ran into

main challenges were developing the platform to connect the computers in a secure manner since the patient's information is highly classified

Accomplishments that we're proud of

to get a working model and showcasing the vast opportunists for this idea to help humanity.

What we learned

the main lessons of this competition was the group dynamic which made a huge impact in our accomplishment.

What's next for IEEEG(Global Healthcare)

we work toward cooperating with laboratories and more specialized doctors to help us grow this network. this results in providing the doctors with the test results. Moreover, we will want to make this platform available to developing counties where healthcare is not available there.
