Inspiration

We wanted to create a game that lets players enjoy progress without needing to be glued to their screens. IdleTron was born to offer a laid-back way to grow wealth over time, with the added fun of blockchain-powered mechanics.

What it does

IdleTron is a fun clicker game where players rack up coins with minimal effort. With boosts and the ability to save/load on BTTC, you can watch your coins pile up. Achievements and more features are coming soon!

How we built it

We built IdleTron using the BTTC Mainnet, focusing on blockchain integration for secure save/load functionality. The game’s core mechanics—clicking to increase coins, product boosts, and time boosts—were developed with JavaScript and smart contracts to ensure fluid gameplay.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing progression while keeping blockchain interactions seamless was tricky. Getting the save/load feature to run smoothly without delays was a big focus.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully integrated IdleTron with the BTTC Mainnet, allowing players to save and load their progress. Additionally, we’re proud of the product and time boost mechanics, which add depth to the classic clicker game model.

What we learned

We gained valuable experience in optimizing blockchain interactions for real-time gameplay. Additionally, we learned how to enhance idle game mechanics to keep players engaged while maintaining simplicity.

What's next for IdleTron

We plan to introduce an achievements collection system to reward players & leaderboard for milestones . Future updates will include more boosts and additional gameplay features to maintain long-term player engagement.

Why we built it on blockchain

Blockchain allows us to create a clicker game where players can save and load their progress reliably. By using BTTC Mainnet, we ensure that player progress is preserved on the blockchain, eliminating the risk of losing data. The blockchain also opens up possibilities for future features such as rewards and achievements tied directly to the player's in-game success.

Our difference from other clicker games

IdleTron stands out by offering not only a clicker experience but also blockchain-powered features like product boosts, time boosts, and save/load functionality. While most clicker games focus purely on clicking to earn points, IdleTron enhances progression with incremental mechanics that reward patience and strategy, making it more than just a mindless clicking game. Future updates, like achievements, will also offer players new layers of goals and rewards.
