Practice Bot

Our practice bot in action.

Inspiration

School is starting soon so we built this to help study.

What it does

The user asks the AI assistant to generate a question in a certain subject. If the user answers the question incorrect, the AI assistant gives the correct answer, an explanation, and refers to websites to gain more information. The difficulty can also be adjusted by saying "easier" or "harder," or by giving the robot a difficulty level. The default is 8th grade.

How we built it

We used the chatbot to integrate the OpenAI API with flask and created a bot that would quiz the user in a way that ChatGPT wouldn't, using the OpenAI API

Challenges we ran into

Quite often, the program crashed and didn't work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Rather than giving up in the face of adversity, we persevered and embraced the difficulties to improve our code.

What we learned

We learned JavaScript, html, ML, CSS, open ai, python, and web designing.

What's next for Practice Bot

We will use it during school so we can get good grades. We will also edit it and improve it as we continue learning and growing our skills to create the optimal learning experience for students everywhere.
