Identity for MCP

Inspiration

Identity is not handled in MCP in a safe and secure manner and adding OpenID Federation can help secure MCP with few changes.

What it does

Uses existing OAuth2 JWT token transport anywhere MCP is used.​

Available now as a standard from OpenID Foundation​

Offers cross-domain scaling through trust anchors ​

One JWT token can be used in that circle of trust​

Offers way to convey high quality tamper proof trusted data within the token​

Can be issue once, used anywhere (within the fed)​
