I spent a lot of time designing how this game would tackle the philosophical question of whether the development of AI is too dangerous in the sense of impersonation as its ability to show empathy and mimic human tone improves, to a certain extent at least. In terms of development, I spent around 15 hours each day working on the backend to tackle the many bugs and allow multi player on a web based application. We made many versions of the game on VS Code, and I sent the production version to be hosted on Firebase as it was easy to test with friends without needing to buy a server for now.
This suits the Hackathon well as it clearly blurs the line between machine and human, done with pretty good execution (I hope lol).
We believed focusing on one single game and perfecting it to be as enjoyable as possible is the right move, especially when making a long lasting impact on community and when educating a potential younger audience.
Thank you for watching.
