Our Mission
In our society, girls are often faced with predetermined expectations designed to force them into specific gender roles. Because of this, they’re often faced with identity problems, and struggle to find their place within the community. We sought a way to fix this in a way that would both encourage girls on their path to self-realization and also help them find support through others that are walking and have walked the same road.
Why Identify?
The idea behind Identify comes from our mission: to help women and girls identify their true selves outside of gender roles and break free of stereotypical ideals. We want to help create a world where both women and girls are accepted for who they want to be, not who others think they should be. Identify will help make this dream come true by empowering females to take the lead of their own lives.
About Us
We are a group of freshman girls who came together to improve our society. This is our first hackathon.
