Inspiration

We first wanted to do something fun for the people that were in quarantine. These times are filled with waiting around and boredom, so we wanted to alleviate that issue. Since everyone has a name, we wanted to do something involving it.

What it does

It takes in a user's name, it then determines the country they most likely came from, and gives a fortune and XKCD comic to them based on the name.

How we built it

We created a react website, which took in a users input, then it used different APIs using the name to get our page where it shares information with the user.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges that we ran into include: connecting APIs, initializing the website, and working remotely as a team through Github.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to actually create the website and get all the APIs to work together. In addition, we were able to make it visually appealing.

What we learned

We learned about web applications, Javascript, using multiple API endpoints, and working remotely as a team.

What's next for Identifi

What's next is adding a more complex name algorithm, more API connectivity, and more user interaction with the webpage.
