Inspiration

We saw that 60% of teens experience cyberbullying and knew the internet needed a way to hold bad actors accountable across every platform they use.

What it does

Persona gives you one government-verified identity with a reputation score that follows you across Instagram, X, Reddit, Discord, and every other social platform.

How we built it

We created prototypes in Figma, designed a microservices backend with AI moderation, and developed a comprehensive product requirements document and business model canvas that included a business strategy.

Challenges we ran into

We struggled to balance user privacy with accountability and to design a karma algorithm that punishes harassment without silencing healthy debate.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed a comprehensive system, spanning from concept to working prototype, that addresses online harassment and misinformation while providing users with complete control over their online privacy.

Building trust systems that work across platforms requires a careful balance between safety, privacy, and user freedom.

What's next for Ideathon

We'll pitch to the US government for mandated adoption, integrate with major social media platforms, and release our API for developers.
