MusicBox

Inspiration

As we use social media, we have noticed that it has become more and more isolating. We wanted something that has connected humans for generations, music, to help people connect in an online space. We were inspired to create MusicBox to foster safe, authentic communities where people can connect through their shared love of music.

What it does

MusicBox allows users to join album-based chatrooms, share opinions, discuss a song of the day, build their profile, and connect with people with similar tastes in music.

How we built it

We built MusicBox by brainstorming ideas, sketching out layouts for the UI, and integrating it into an app on Figma.

Challenges we ran into

We were unfamiliar with Figma, and there was a bit of a learning curve for the software.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our transitions and the overall aesthetics of our app.

What we learned

We learned how to foster good team communication and collaboration. We also learned about considering the business side of an idea, such as the feasibility and long-term potential.
