Inspiration

Many people have ideas, moments, or thoughts they want to remember, protect, or act on—but they’re often lost in cluttered notes apps, forgotten files, or scattered messages. I wanted to create something more permanent and transparent. That’s what inspired me to build an on-chain AI-powered tool where users can store their memories, startup ideas, or daily reflections immutably—with helpful AI assistance to organize and act on them.

What it does

The app allows users to write and log their thoughts (memories, ideas, journal entries) directly on-chain using Solana and AImpact. AI enriches each entry—automatically categorizing it, summarizing it, or generating action items (for startup ideas). The user maintains full control and transparency.

How we built it

We used the AImpact beta for Solana to integrate LLM capabilities. The frontend is built with [React/Vue/your framework], and the backend uses Solana smart contracts to record the logs immutably. AImpact’s AI helps classify, summarize, and intelligently link entries. The app also includes wallet login and basic on-chain interaction features.

Challenges we ran into

  • Ensuring a smooth user experience while dealing with wallet-based authentication.
  • Learning the AImpact SDK in a short time.
  • Optimizing on-chain storage and minimizing transaction costs.

Accomplishments we're proud of

  • Built a working prototype within the hackathon timeline.
  • Successfully integrated Solana and AImpact.
  • Created a usable and fun interface for writing and preserving content.

What we learned

  • How to connect AI with blockchain for practical, real-world utility.
  • Efficient smart contract and transaction handling on Solana.
  • Ways to preserve user privacy while maintaining transparency.

What's next for IdeaForge

  • Add more AI features like visual journaling, voice-based inputs, and smart memory tagging.
  • Enable selective sharing of on-chain memories with friends or networks.
  • Build a mobile-first version for journaling on-the-go.
