Inspiration

Web3 is developing really quickly, and I hope it will be in all industries. putting hope in web3 made me think of ICON blockchain that made the network much more cheaper than ethereum main network

What it does

you can as a user to upload videos to ICON Tube and make it decentralized to retrieve it for later uses, by adding this in your html website and replace url with the url that ICON Tube gave you, it will get your video that you uploaded in ICON Tube.

using the api is the best case for uploading videos, getting details of all videos and deleting them to save some GB of subscriptions.

How we built it

I built it using python flask framework to deal with websites and web3.py helped a lot in dealing with solidity code and deploying them. Made smart contracts to store user authentication and metadata. For the videos they get uploaded to the ipfs.

Challenges we ran into

the Api is our biggest challenge it's that to make it interact with the web3.py took me time to do.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am so proud to end this project that it took me so much time to make, I felt a relief after finishing from this project

What's next for ICON Tube

the future of ICON Tube is so close to come in reality, I am going to make it have a site for searching for other's videos much like decentralized YouTube. and it will have in the future likes and shares on channels and videos based on smart contracts (solidity)
