Background Music Generator

We aim to take a picture and generate appropriate background music for the scene.

Getting Started

Clone the repo and install the requirements, then run

python3 interface.py

and upload an image from your local machine.

pip3 install spotipy
pip3 install numpy

I led the team and worked on mapping computer vision tags to spotify recommendations.

Worked on the spotify API, both on the backend to link tags generated from the Computer Vision API to spotify audio features and how they corresponded to tracks. I also worked on authenticating the user and interacting with their account data.

Zain Patel
I created the interface and converted image analysis by Microsoft Azure's Computer Vision API into a corresponding feature analysis of a song by Spotify's API.

Khalid Hassan
I created the backend that interfaced with the Microsoft Azure CV API and created the method for inferring music style from image features.
