Icebreaker

Inspiration

We are a community building for the community. We are students looking for jobs and research. We are startups looking to make those first connections. We spend hours each day finding and writing the same emails over and over, only for most to not even get a response. We want to give this time back to the next wave of builders, creators, and workers so that they may continue to hone their craft, while we take care of the stress of making cold connections. Once we get a response, the conversation is back in your hands!

What it does

As the client, you can what type of connection you're hoping to make (i.e. industry, location, etc.), and we do research to find quality leads. Then, we use AI driven technology to write custom, relevant emails for each recipient. Once we get a response, we turn the conversation over to you! After this process, you'll be talking exclusively with people who are already interested in you or your product!

How we built it

We use various APIs to get the best quality leads on the internet. Then, we use a LLM Wrapper to generate a custom email to the lead, taking into account relevant details from our research so that our emails all have a personal touch.

Challenges we ran into

It is very hard to expand the amount of leads we have. We are constantly looking for new sources to find the best companies and individuals. We hope to be able to expand Icebreaker to reach a more diverse variety of individuals, expanding past pure industry and exploring other fields, and more local businesses with less of an online presence.
