Inspiration

Due to Covid-19, in person activities have been forced to shift to an online environment making it hard for people to connect with each other. As a result, I built this website to help build friendships and strengthen team relationships among people. In addition, I was really fond of playing Ice Breakers with my classmates and learning more about their interest's so I feel this website can be really beneficial for students and people to build connections and friendships.

What it does

This website can create a unique ID number for a group with people can join. Once a group has been made and people have joined that group, they can create their Ice Breaker and post it to the gallery for others to view and for everyone to learn more about each other.

How I built it

I built my project through html and javascript.

Challenges I ran into

I faced an assortment of challenges such as creating unique ID numbers so that groups can be made, locally storing information so that group members can view others Ice Breakers, and coding in html and javascript syntax as these two languages are fairly new to me.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud of creating my first website and I am proud of completing this project within the hackathon's time period.

What I learned

I learned more about how to build websites and learned more about javascript and html which are fairly new languages to me.

What's next for Ice Breakers Website

The Ice Breakers website can be improved by renovating the UI for a better user experience, creating a database to store information such as the unique ID numbers, launch a server to monitor the user's requests, and finally launch the website using a distinct domain name for all the public to use and enjoy.
