Inspiration

The inspiration comes from the urge to solve many deaths that are caused by lack of enough information about the patient at hand by the doctors when one falls ill unexpectedly in an are where he/she is not known and there is no one who can share his/her medical history. Yes there are medical bracelet alert for this purposes but lack enough information, using qr code , information stored can be large and of use in case of a problem.

Emergency Medical Information: The app can provide critical medical details quickly to first responders and healthcare professionals, potentially saving lives by preventing wrong diagnoses.

Accessibility and Convenience: QR codes can be easily scanned using smartphones, making the medical information readily accessible in emergencies.

Personal Health Records (PHR): By having their medical information readily available, users can manage and share their health records more efficiently with different healthcare providers.

Also from Dr. Ann Marie Nelson , "Early detection is crucial because it significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and survival. By identifying cancer at an early stage, we can intervene sooner, providing patients with more treatment options and improving outcomes. Regular screenings and awareness are key in the fight against breast cancer." Thus we integrated a machine learning model that ones fills a mammogram form and uploads a biopsy image and carries out probability of one being affected by breast cancer.

What it does

  1. Generates a medical qr code upon filling a emergency form. The qr code can embed on a wearable bracelet for immediate retrieval of medical information 2.Accidents: In case of an accident, first responders can quickly access the victim’s medical history, allergies, and medications to provide appropriate treatment. 3.Customization Options: Allow users to customize what information is included in the QR code based on their preferences and privacy concerns. 4.Chronic Conditions: Patients with chronic conditions can carry their QR code to appointments for quick access to their medical records. 5.Travel: Travelers can carry their medical information with them, providing peace of mind and ensuring they receive proper care in case of an emergency in a foreign country.
  2. Using machine learning the web application can carry out probability if one has cancer by filling a mammogram form and uploading a biopsy image. ## How we built it we built it as team where we divided our selves in relation with the workload into teams where some teams carried out development (backend) and others designing the web application(frontend), and others created information slides ## Challenges we ran into One main challenge was integrating the machine learning model other issues were paths that came from configuration of paths where the csv files were located Cohesiveness as a team was also a challenge but overcame it since we were not familiar with each other..

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of the best thing we learned was working as team. Team work We accomplished making a working web application with a user-Friendly Interface that ensure the app is easy to use for people of all ages, including those who are not tech-savvy.

What we learned

  1. implementing machine learning models

What's next for iCarePulse

Some of the things that we see capable of the web Application in the future are: 1.Multi-Language Support: Provide medical information in multiple languages to cater to users and emergency responders from different regions. 2.Emergency Notifications: When the QR code is scanned, an emergency contact can be notified automatically, providing quick alerts to family members or caregivers. 3.Technological Integration: The app can integrate with wearable devices, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and other health apps to keep the medical information up-to-date.
