Inspiration

iCare youCare weCare for your eyes — now your screen cares too.

We’re all chronically online for school, work, and everything in between. Long sessions lead to dry eyes, headaches, blur, and lower focus. People mean to take breaks, but in flow or meetings they forget. We built iCare to make screens feel comfortable, without sending a single byte off your device.

What it does

• Gentle 20-20-20 breaks with a calming Eye-Gym overlay (20 second-adjustable timer to reset).
• Cursor Assist: Spotlight or Reading Ruler that follows your work.
• Comfort UI on any tab: Universal Dark Mode, Focus Reading, Background Blur.
• Respectful by design: skip during fullscreen/video/meetings; quick snooze.
• Privacy receipt: All on-device, Not a medical device.

How we built it

Chrome/Edge extension (Manifest V3) React + Vite + Tailwind CSS for popup, dashboard, and website.
