iAttendance System
Inspiration
"Research shows that missing 10 percent of the school, or about 18 days in most school districts, negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just two days a month and that’s known as chronic absence"
What it does
"An Intelligent Online attendance system to allow students to log their attendance using their face-id to replace traditional method of attendance tracking to reduce human error, increase efficiency and block the proxy activities"
How we built it
"The application consist of two major flow.
- Registration of the Student.
HTML based Webapp was hosted using the python Flask Api.
- Reconciliation of the Student ID. Flutter based Mobile application was used for student logging their attendance. Azure App Services: The Api is hosted in the Azure App Services. 3.We have used the Facenet model by implementing transfer learning techniques. We have used opensource face data sets"
Challenges
"we ran into Hosting of bloated Docker container in App service. This is to incorporated the custom AI hosting needs."
