MonKEYs

Inspiration

We were inspired by the fact that there are not a lot of scheduling tools that allow for the optimization of one's day. Consequently, we decided to create MonKEYs.

What it does

This program allows you to input the activities and homework assignments you have so you can better plan your day. It also stores data on the amount of time it takes you to accomplish homework of varying difficulty so you can better plan your day. It also helps with eliminating procrastination.

How we built it

We built the program on repl.it using java.

Challenges we ran into

We had issues with getting text outputs to be displayed in text files and getting our objects correctly set up and organized.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of our program's ability to create a schedule for your day.

What we learned

We learned that really complex ideas become much simpler once you break them down into their basic components.

What's next for MonKEYs (Monday Key Schedules)

We plan on adding features that allow you to coordinate with multiple people so group projects are easier. In addition, we want to add a feature where instead of our default times for homework, it uses the stored data and averages it for a more optimal schedule.
