Inspiration
This is a song I wrote many years ago. At that time, I didn’t have the skills or tools to bring the full vision to life. With the rise of new AI creative tools, I finally had a way to realise the emotional world I’d imagined. This project became a bridge between my past and present, a chance to finish something my younger self started but couldn’t complete.
What it does
The project pairs my original song with AI-assisted visuals to create an emotional, narrative-driven music video. The imagery supports the song’s themes of vulnerability, regret, and hope, turning the track into a short visual story rather than just a listening experience.
How we built it
I wrote and performed the original song, then used Suno to remix, remaster and elevate the production quality.
For the visuals:
I used AI image-generation tools (OpenArt, PixVerse, Kling AI etc.) to create stylised cinematic scenes based on my direction.
I iterated repeatedly to maintain consistent characters and tone.
I assembled, edited, timed and refined the final video manually to ensure the visuals aligned with the emotional beats of the music.
All creative direction, storyboarding, editing, and decision-making were done by me.
Challenges we ran into
Some of the key challenges included:
Keeping character designs consistent across multiple scenes
Getting AI tools to match the emotional tone and story I envisioned
Timing visual transitions precisely to the music
Managing variations and regenerations until scenes matched my standards
Learning how to merge audio, visuals, and pacing into a unified narrative
Each challenge pushed me to become more precise and intentional with my creative workflow. Accomplishments we’re proud of
I’m proud that I was able to complete a project that originated years ago. Specific wins include:
Transforming a personal song into a full visual story
Achieving a consistent artistic style from scene to scene
Successfully remastering the track with Suno while keeping the heart of the original
Releasing my first AI-assisted music video and seeing early positive engagement
It feels like the beginning of a new creative chapter.
What we learned
I learned how to combine traditional creativity, songwriting, storytelling, editing, with new technologies. I learned that AI tools require clear artistic direction to be effective, and that persistence and iteration are essential. Most of all, I learned that old ideas can become new again when you have the right tools and confidence to finish them.
What’s next for Shai-Elle?
Next, I’m expanding into short-form animated storytelling. I’m currently developing an AI-assisted story, aiming to complete it in time for Christmas. My goal is to keep refining my workflow, build a dedicated creative channel, and turn Shai-Elle into a small but sustainable production brand.
