Inspiration: My inspiration for this piece came about from a desire to pay homage to the matriarchs and women (often uncredited) for their historically central role as pillars and bedrocks of societies across the world.
What it does: This piece specifically honors African and Indigenous women in global communities.
How we built it: I created this piece using AI-generated images from the ArtsEnvoy.ai platform, HeyGen and finally CapCut for the final editing.
Challenges we ran into: The main challenges were in the editing phase where I wanted the video and images to capture the mood and tone of the message I was trying to convey with both musical intensity and subtlety, combined with captivating visuals.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: I am proud of the audio and visual elements displayed in the final piece, and how the editing and animated features really elevated the piece into something artistically memorable.
What we learned: I learned that there are so many different ways to capture messages I am trying to convey through art, and thanks to AI, this has concept has been made more accessible to me.
What's next for Back to Where It All Begun: I am considering making a series of short animations paying respect to different groups of people and elevating important societal, environmental and health issues.
