Inspiration
The concept came from the unsettling idea that a camera might capture more than what the human eye can see — that something could be waiting behind the flash.
What it does
A man reviews photographs and notices a mysterious presence appearing progressively .
Driven by curiosity, he takes one final selfie — and at the moment of the flash, the demon reveals itself beside him.
How we built it
- Visuals: Photorealistic, generated with Midjourney V7.
- Video creation: Minimax Hailuo 2, Wan 2.2, Nano Banana, Flux, and Seedream for movement and consistency (via Freepik’s AI platform).
- Upscaling & enhancement: Magnific.
- Audio: Composed and mixed in Logic Pro X.
- Editing: DaVinci Resolve.
- Format: 1m20s, 1280×720p, H.264 video, AAC audio.
Challenges we ran into
- Maintaining visual continuity between multiple AI-generated photos as the demonic form appears progressively.
- Lighting realism during the final “flash” sequence required fine-tuned frame blending and exposure mapping.
- Rhythmic tension had to build naturally in under 90 seconds.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- A fully AI-generated horror short that achieves authentic tension and cinematic rhythm.
- The final reveal feels handcrafted, even though no traditional camera was used.
What we learned
- Coordinating multiple AI models across image, motion, and audio to achieve a consistent tone.
- Using AI not just for visuals, but for controlled psychological timing and narrative buildup.
What's next for I Will Always Be With You
Expanding this format into a collection of AI horror shorts exploring modern fears — where technology becomes the unseen presence behind the lens.
