Inspiration
The inspo for this project was the real life loved by many japanese handheld pet simulator tamagotchi. Tamagotchi is known by many all over the world and has older gen fans from across the world.
What it does
What my app does is that it basically takes the inspo and applies it to the user so instead of having a simulated pet the user would have a simulated version of himself or herself, that way the user has a way of interacting with themselves and this inturn makes the user do chores and take care of themselves since every point that is earned should indicate that a task has been completed but if the user doesn't complete tasks and fill the bars then their avatar and their pet get frustrated and eventually the user will lose the whole game and this whole interaction would be great incentive for completing tasks, chores and taking care of himself or herself.
How we built it
I built this app using medo and codex together hand-in-hand one tool helped what the other one made and that way there was a very amazing collaboration to make this one-of-a-kind webapp
Challenges we ran into
The first and main challenge that I ran into was the fact that I had ran out of credits on the medo app since 300 is really not a lot especially if we are considering that this is a new tool and it may take a while to experiment with and get adapted to.
Since the medo app makes use of nano-banana and to be precise not the paid version and it seemed like its video generation capabilities and thus the movements inside the game weren't super nice at all.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The app was running successfully.
The pet addition was a very critical outlook and a nice reminder of the og tamagotchi.
What we learned
Time is of essence
What's next for i-tamagotchi
Possibly there could be a handheld device that only runs the web app just like the og tamagotchi that would be really amazing, but even more I assume that the launching of not only web apps but also a mobile app and a desktop app so that users can have a versatile use.
