Inspiration

We saw the worst UI track and thought it was funny

What it does

Gives you a very hard time to sign in

How we built it

We used React, Next.js, Tailwind, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Prisma!

Challenges we ran into

Working in the backend was difficult for all of us. Especially setting up the routes and calibrating circle accuracy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Developing an application under heavy time constraint that has several functions

What we learned

How to coordinate complex UI animations with React state. How to structure reusable components (like the CircleCatcha) cleanly. How important sound design is for comedic timing in UI. That over-engineering something tiny i very fun when it's fully committed

I primarily worked on the backend, setting up the database and establishing connections between frontend UI components and backend services. This was my first time working in backend and I can wholeheartedly say that I learned a lot.

I built the interactive email and password input systems, including the mini-games that power them. My work focused on making the login process fun, chaotic, and intentionally challenging.

I designed and built the landing page and CircleCaptcha system, including the perfect circle interaction, glow effects, shake animations, and synced audio, and integrated it into the login flow to create a chaotic and humorous “prove you’re human" checker. It was also my first time working with next.js!
