About the Project

I Stand Here is a fantasy short animation set in a world where names and memories define one’s existence.
The protagonist, Kyle, has lived as a vessel — a being who absorbs the lost memories of others to preserve the world’s balance. Through carrying countless memories that are not his own, he begins to ask himself:

“Who am I, really?”

In a world where losing your name means dissolving into the wind, Kyle chooses to search for his own identity and live as an individual.

This film is a reimagined remake of a past project, rebuilt with refined characters, world-building, and narrative depth.

Inspiration

The original version of this project began as an animation practice piece.
However, the release of Vidu Q2 – Reference to Video became a turning point.
Its leap in expressive power—better emotional performance, consistent character shots, and more intuitive scene direction—motivated me to recreate the story with the quality it deserved.

What I Learned

Throughout the production, I realized how powerful it is when
visuals and music move together as a single, unified flow.

By aligning animation timing, musical rhythm, and each scene’s emotional tone,
I shaped a film where the story is carried not only by dialogue but by the atmosphere and movement themselves.
This deepened my understanding of how cohesive audiovisual storytelling greatly enhances immersion.

Message — What This Film Expresses

I Stand Here is a story about facing the question:

It portrays a protagonist who decides not to live solely as a vessel shaped by others’ memories,
but to step forward as himself — even in a world where identity is fragile.
It is a quiet yet determined journey toward claiming one’s own existence.
