Inspiration
This short film is based on a real breakup letter I wrote, reimagined through artificial intelligence, however... there's nothing artificial about it. I used @Midjourney to design the characters and locations, @RunwayML to blend and shape the visuals, Eleven labs for sound effects / design and VEO 3.1 @Google to animate the storytelling.
My focus was performance... could something 100% generated capture how it really felt. Every frame, gesture, and breath was created by me... I wanted to capture that raw, vulnerable moment when I finally learned to let go of the pain.
What it does
Hopefully it evokes a feeling in the viewer.
How we built it
I created each character in Midjourney. Blended my assets together in Runway references and animated with lip sync / performance in VEO 3.1, I used Eleven labs: Special effects, Text to voice, voice cloning for sound design and Pixabay library for the score. 🎥 Tools: Midjourney, Runway, VEO 3.1, Eleven Labs, Pixabay
Challenges we ran into
Performance was my focus and very challenging to not settle and keep developing my prompts until the performance delivered a high standard or realism.
Lip Sync performance was incredibly difficult - developing the correct prompts took a lot of time and money in order to get the humanity right.

The end result. Not giving up and finding my way around issues.
What we learned
I learned a great workflow that makes me efficient, especially when producing performance driven content.
What's next for "I'm Done - A Breakup Letter"
Obviously I would love "I'm Done" to be recognized by my peers at the Chroma Awards.
"I'm Done" has received 6K views on my TikTok already and I've had a ton of amazing feedback. I would just love to have as many people see it and continue to send me their thoughts and stories relating to how the work made them feel. I'm learning a lot in this post production process.
