Inspiration

Lawyers and paralegals must struggle with the amount of case files that remain in file cabinets leading to lengthy legal proceedings.

What it does

It analyzes documents from DOJ (Department of Justice) and uses a chatbot that takes information given from the documents. Therefore, it is more specialized and makes it easier for users to navigate their rights easier.

How we built it

We built this application using ReactJS. We then used Snowflake for the specialized bot and for analyzing data, Auth0 for authentication of email addresses, and Gemini for the generalized bot. We also used Supabase for the database.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into a ton of challenges, particularly, trying to make this idea work in a short span of time.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to make Auth0 work and we were able to learn new tools such as snowflake. We also learned more about web scraping.

What we learned

We learned about web scraping and we also learned about incorporating each other's ideas to make the project look like a nice mix of different perspectives.

What's next for I know mygration rights

We will continue to improve on our data and our training models to give more specific, accurate data. We remember the plight of international students and immigrants who are treated unjustly. We will also make a premium plan and normal plan.
