Inspiration

After noticing the importance of taking care of maintenance tasks to avoid problems we felt compelled to assist users in protecting their belongings. Inspired by State Farms commitment, to its customers we recognized the need for a platform that could bridge this gap in knowledge. This way users can always stay one step ahead when it comes to safeguarding their possessions. The App was developed with the main aim of making it easy for people of all age groups to protect what they value.

What it does

Its a protection and maintenance recommendation system that is made easy for all types of users. It allows users to easily narrow down their necessities and enroll in plans that are best suited for them without having to spend much time and money on the plan search. It recommends the plans by considering the vehicle model, its age and other attributes reducing potential losses for both clients and State Farm.

How we built it

Using React Native for a seamless mobile experience, we integrated MongoDB for robust data management. This dynamic duo allowed us to create a scalable, user-friendly application tailored for all age groups. We used Redux for state management and integrated a email notification system for easy access and information.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing user-friendliness with comprehensive features was challenging. We also faced issues integrating real-time data syncing between the app and MongoDB.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a scalable platform that aligns with State Farm's vision. The preventive service tips feature, which uses AI to analyze user data and provide personalized advice, stands out as our favorite.

What we learned

We delved deeper into the intricacies of React Native and MongoDB integration. More than that, we learned the importance of preventive care in asset maintenance, translating it into a digital solution.

What's next for I Insure: Sheltering Dreams, Navigating Realities

We plan to incorporate Augmented Reality for interactive maintenance guides, partner with local service providers for on-the-spot bookings, and add community forums for users to share personal tips and experiences.
