Being environmentally conscious, broke students, we speak from personal experience when it comes to wastage of resources and would like to work on something that would help this problem. While there are many marketplace apps already out there, what sets us apart is our focus on the three aspects of simplicity, convenience, and cashless options.

Our app allows us to reduce waste by sharing surplus items with each other, rather than throwing them out. Which also reduces financial burden on users. Also it saves us time because our app does all the hard work for us!

One of the biggest challenges was finding matches for wishes. We initially just checked if the name were the same or substrings. But this missed some edge cases, so we decided to compare by words instead. Eventually, we came to an algorithm that mixed naive matching with word matching that was very successful.
