Inspiration
What it does
Allows users to log feelings and associate them with events. The user can see their logs for any day on a calendar and can refer back to them anytime they want. After a while the app will show patterns of what user likes depending on the responses. The user can click on those events to see places that he / she can go to, in order to be happier.
How I built it
Built using firebase, swift 3, google places
Challenges I ran into
It was hard to structure my data in firebase and I tried drawing my own icons for everything which did not turn out well. It was a hard decision to give up my own icons in order to make the interface more user friendly.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
This is the first big and proper app I have built. I am proud that I was able to progress on my own after getting some initial guidance from my instructor and stick with the work throughout the summer. I also like the places feature that I added two days ago (suggestion of places related to event.)
What I learned
I learned how to work with firebase, that it is okay to look at stack overflow and learn from there. I increased my grasp of completions and APIs, I basically learned how to start from an idea and make turn it into an actual physical thing.
What's next for I Feel You: Log Feelings and Maximize Happiness
I am working on adding a chart so that it is easier to track development throughout times. I am also researching to see how strong different moods are, in order to improve my happiness algorithm.
Note
The youtube demo is version 1. Version 2 will be up in the app store very soon!
