Quick Article Summarizer

Inspiration

What it does

It takes the link of an article, put it through openai's api and ask gpt-3.5-turbo to generate a summary with all the necessary information in concise manner.

How we built it

I used python to utilize the apis and used openai's api to get the summary as I did not know how to build my own LLM.

Challenges we ran into

Unfamiliar programming language, all inactive team members, lack of knowledge on creating my own AI

I want to try creating my own ai next time. and hopefully, have more time.

Okay, so for this hackathon, I initially signed up to work alone but was forcefully placed in a randomly assigned team. Although I was very unsatisfied with the grouping, i tried to be cooperative and talked to my teammates, but none of them responded, meaning, they are inactive and has withdrew from the competition. Which left me all alone.
