We never truly get to know our parents. We know who they are to us, but there are entire dimensions of their identity that remain hidden from a child.
This short film is born from that idea. It’s not just a dystopian tale. It’s an intimate quest: that of the son who, too late, discovers that his father was much more than the role of “father.” The home, the cradle that watches us grow, is also part of who we are.
Today, artificial intelligence allows me to give free rein to those small ideas that flutter inside me and that, otherwise, would remain forgotten in a folder. This short film is yet another proof that the creative spark is always human; AI only helps me bring it to life.
This is a reflection that came to me while thinking about my father. I built it with Runway ML, Flux, Kling, Freepik, and Suno. One of the challenges was making the models respect the buildings I wanted to depict. Staying faithful to the base is often difficult with AI—this was before Nano Banana and Seedream. I’ll be satisfied if the message comes across. I hope this short film can find an international audience.
