Inspiration
We are university juniors who love building apps, AI products, and tools, but every project eventually hits the same first mountain: how do we get our first actual users? We realized this is a problem almost every student builder, solopreneur, and indie hacker faces. You can spend weeks building something you're genuinely proud of, only to launch to crickets — and that can be pretty discouraging. We realized that distribution at scale has become the new bottleneck for builders.
Even in Shipaton, thousands of us are building great apps, but the goal is not just to ship them — it is to get real people to find them, use them, and talk about them. Short-form UGC is one of the strongest ways to break through the noise, but constantly creating fresh hooks, ideas, and videos can become a second full-time job. We wanted to build something that agentically took action and saved builders like ourselves hours of work. That became HypeJuice, a growth tool for builders that learns your product inside out and turns its best features into scroll-stopping AI UGC-style content.
What it does
HypeJuice puts an AI growth partner at your fingertips. From a simple product link, it analyzes what you built, maps your audience and strongest selling points, and turns real app footage into UGC-style videos across different tones — funny, candid, relatable, trend-driven, and more.
Builders can generate hundreds of fresh hooks and content variations in minutes, teach HypeJuice their creative taste through swipe feedback, create new angles in Studio, then instantly save and download ready-to-post content while tracking performance over time.
Watch our demo to see HypeJuice in action as it creates content for LinguaChirp, a fun AI language-learning app. You’ll see the full flow from understanding the product to generating fresh hooks and ready-to-post UGC-style content. Note: LinguaChirp is a fictional app we made just for this showcase, not a real third-party product or trademark.
How we built it
We built HypeJuice with Expo, React Native, Expo Router, and TypeScript so we could support both iOS and Android while moving quickly during Shipaton. For rapid iteration, we primarily tested through Expo Go on iOS, which made it easy to refine the workflow as we built.

We used a Hono/Node.js backend for the API layer and Supabase for auth, Postgres, and private media storage across creator assets and rendered content.
- We built a custom content + video orchestration pipeline that pairs real app demos with reusable AI creator footage, then uses FFmpeg to normalize, sequence, stitch, and render vertical videos with text overlays.
- We added a Studio path that can branch into custom creator generation through Seedance 2.0 via Higgsfield, while reusable creator footage keeps the main workflow fast.
- We use Gemini across the shared-context agentic workflow for product analysis, audience mapping, hooks, creative angles, captions, and performance insights, so each stage builds on what HypeJuice already knows.
- We use Keep/Toss swipe feedback to personalize future generations, helping HypeJuice learn each builder’s taste and surface better-fitting hooks, tones, and creative angles without starting from scratch every time.
- We also designed the creator library to grow beyond the current hook + demo format. Before release, we plan to test more reactions, creator styles, and formats like green-screen commentary, agent-led explainers, and reaction-driven UGC, then use feedback to decide what deserves to ship.
RevenueCat Integration + Subscriptions
HypeJuice is currently an open-source Next Gen submission (Github Repo with MIT License) and has not yet been published to the App Store / Google Play. We still integrated the RevenueCat SDK and used RevenueCat Test Store to validate the subscription flow end-to-end, including a successful sandbox Pro trial.
For release, we plan to split HypeJuice into two subscription tiers based on how our users actually build:
- Plus Plan: for solo developers, student builders, and early-stage solopreneurs who want to get started quickly with fast content generation & core growth workflows.
- Pro Plan:for power users and small hobby/dev teams who want more creative control, higher generation volume, and deeper Studio features like custom creator workflows.
What's next for HypeJuice
We want HypeJuice to become a tool that anyone who has built an app can use – from student builders and hobby developers to solopreneurs and small teams. The bigger vision is for HypeJuice to become a true growth partner for builders, with more agentic workflows that take on real growth work instead of just suggesting what to do.
If you’ve shipped an app or consumer tool you’re proud of but are still struggling to find those first real users, we’d love for you to try HypeJuice. Watch this space for updates – we’ll be sharing more here as we get through App review & get closer to release!
We’ve been shaping HypeJuice around real pain points from other builders, so if there’s anything you think could improve the product or its workflow, feel free to share it with us.
