Inspiration

We found that a lot of students and graduates are really struggling about their career plan and path. I have recently joined a mentor program and my mentor helped me a lot. When I recommend my school friends that they could find a mentor. All my friends asked me where can I find one? I told them I don't know because the program that I joined has closed for application.

What it does

It is a platform that allows users to register as a mentor, mentee or both. It provides an opportunity for students and graduates to find a mentor. Experienced professions could use our platform to share their knowledge

How I built it

When went through all the workshops and quickly adapt that knowledge into our project. We have interviewed our potential users and industry expertise to make sure we understand our users' need. We then used figma to build a prototype and edited the video using imove. Because of the sleep deprivation, we were a bit lost at the end but we finally made it happen.

Challenges I ran into

• disagreement between teammates
• short of time
• hard to compress everything into a 3 minutes pitch
• gone too far when we plan

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

• able to build a prototype at the end
• completed 5 checkpoints during 48 hours
• approached to different mentors to ask for help

What I learned

• keep things simple.
• clear tasks allocation
• keep the communication channel clear.
• having a leader in a team is very important and will make team member easier to communicate and work with each other.

What's next for HYF AHA48

• Throughout this project, we find out there are many ways we can do to improve our teamwork skills
• Build up a friendly team environment to make team project process more smoothly.
• Trying to kick off our start-up project
• Build a meaningful network with people we met from this Hackathon
• Implement what we have learnt into our next project or future career
