Inspiration

The deteriorating air quality in Volvo truck cabins and the health effects they have on the driver's health

What it does

The goal is to develop a portable compact air purifier incorporating both organic and inorganic filters. HEPA (inorganic filters) filters will be used for filtering particulate matter, dust and smoke Algal filters (organic filters) would capture CO2 and produce O2 thereby improving the overall air quality of the Volvo cabin. A vital monitoring system that would go on the steering wheel would monitor all the driver vitals including the alertness level through computer vision models.
