Inspiration

The challenges faced by everyone to explore under water led us to make a project on ROV. So that its easy for disaster management group or some other rescuing group in tough situations. Keeping in mind the hurdles we opt to built this project.

What it does

It goes deep into water and initiates a search operation.

How we built it

The ROV we are building is a combined effort of software, electronics and mechanical work!. The vehicle is designed keeping industrial standards into consideration. Mechanical domain works on the hull, thermals and casing of the necessary components, Electronics domain looks after power systems, communication of the ROV. Software plays role in designing the controlling systems of the vehicle

Challenges we ran into

The major challenge we ran into, while making the ROV is designing the leak proof hull even in the adverse situations!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We, team SRM AUV, are proud of our achievements at Singapore AUV competition, Robosub and NIOT competitions. We are glad that our team successfully completed the design of AIOS system for defence purpose.

What we learned

Team work, managing time along with our academics and we learnt about the mistakes we came across during our designs, got to know how industrial grade machines work!

What's next for HW-B1

We are looking forward to bring advancements in the vehicle and customizable ROV whose payloads can be altered according to the use case. Shortly One ROV multiple multiple tasks!
