Our project aims at finding a solution for medical waste disposal, With the pandemic hitting the world and enormously increasing the medical waste, the disposal led to another big issue that was neglected.
The medical waste containing the SARS virus was disposed of in normal dustbins, leading to contamination from the bin itself. Hence to avoid contamination from the waste and ensure the disposal of medical waste properly, we have developed a smart bin (MAARS) that will disinfect the medical waste and ensure proper disposal without any contamination.
