Husky Task Helper

Inspiration

So many of our tasks stack up simply because we don't know where to begin, and that leads to procrastination and enormous levels of stress. We wanted to create a tool that breaks these piles of work down into manageable steps, helping people make step-by-step progress with confidence!

What it does

Husky Task Helper is a simple Chrome extension that learns what a user needs help with completing, and uses Claude to transform overwhelming tasks into clear, actionable checklist items. Users can input their preferred study methods, manually edit the generated action items, and spill over tasks to the next day.

How we built it

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Tested it with Chrome Extension's Developer mode

Challenges we ran into

Claude API Key integration
Effectively using AI agents to improve our code

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting a working MVP in a very short amount of time
Expanding the tool to work for every day, not just single-use
Our hand-drawn husky is by Enrica and is really cute!

What we learned

This was our first Chrome extension, so we got our first experience launching an extension and working with Google's developer platform, which was really beginner-friendly.
