Husky Q Up

Have you ever gone to eat or pick up a package on campus but the was too long and miss food or come back later? Husky Q Up strives to solve this. Dont get tangled up in lines, use Husky Q Up!

Inspiration

  • Waiting in long lines to get food and packages at Lander Desk and at Local Point

What it does

  • Students can view how many people are in a line and how long it will take to get to the front of the line
  • Students can then queue up for the line
  • Admins can dequeue students in their assigned line

How we built it

  • Frontend: React, Flask, SocketIO (Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Backend: PostgreSQL (Python)

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating PostgreSQL/Python with React
  • Design Layout
  • Posting and getting from server

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • I made wontons
  • Using the Google sign in API
  • Creating a fully functioning website
  • Using best practices in our code
