HuskieHack2017
This project started off as an idea pitched from one of our teammates suffering from tendinitis in both arms from years of playing baseball. He and multiple other studies showed correlation between the humidity levels in the air and inflammation in those affected with tendinitis. So, we decided to use a photon to collect temperature and humidity readings and have a google spreadsheet pull the data every 5 minutes. The photon is supposed to be like a wearable that the user can carry with them, but it is only a prototype. Then, we built an app for the user to track the temperature and humidity within their immediate vicinity. The app forces you to login, so that it could gather information and recommend treatments based on the data and pain level indicated by the user. Also, the photon has a button that sends an email through IFTTT to their primary care physician and lets them review the data to determine their health status if needed.
